Day 1 – Assessment Skills (MSK & Overuse Injury)
- How to assess leg length discrepancy (LLD) and pelvic mechanics
- Clinical assessment of common overuse and sports-related injuries
- How to assess running gait and dysfunctional movement patterns
- Identifying strength asymmetries and performance deficits
- Understanding and assessing the latest innovations in running shoe technology
- Real-time treadmill assessment of the injured runner
- Real-time pressure plate assessment of the injured runner
Day 2 – Clinical Solutions
- Prescribing and managing orthoses for LLD
- Managing overuse injuries effectively
- How to manage the injured runner
- Designing rehab and strength & conditioning programmes
- Advising patients confidently on running footwear
- How to change running form & drills to improve efficiency
- Understanding tissue response to load and how to off-load injured tissue
- Real-time CAD design and 3D print of orthoses for our subject
