The Sacroiliac Joint & Pelvis:Morphology, Dysfunction, Assessment & Treatment

This new online Pelvis and Sacroiliac course is the most comprehensive course format launched to date, using our new online pre-recorded presentation format.

Course Description:

If you are practicing clinical biomechanics you need to understand the pelvis and sacroiliac
joint (SIJ). This is an incredibly fascinating aspect of the kinetic chain and has implications for
your patient’s over use injury. The centre of mass (CoM) and pelvis can affect lower limb
function and vice versa, so we really need a thorough understanding of this complex area.
This course will teach you how to recognise and assess dysfunctional pelvic positions, how
to assess the sacroiliac joint, how to recognise and correct adaptations to leg length
discrepancy (LLD), how to recognise abnormal motion patterns from a restricted SIJ and
most importantly how to manage and treat them.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • You will be able to recognise abnormal pelvic and gait patterns.
  • You will learn new and unique assessment techniques.
  • You will learn how to assess the pelvis & SIJ.
  • You will learn how to manage your patient with pelvic issues from a podiatry
    perspective.
  • You will learn how to recognise the adaptations to LLD & how to return the pelvis
    back to normal motion patterns.
